Hey guys, it has been a while. Although we are still working hard on Heir to the Horde, things are going a bit slower. In case you didn’t know, we fund our project with our part time jobs, and those were a little bit more demanding lately. Of course, having a part time job besides our project also has it’s perks. We got new workstations at the office! To be future proof, we built our own systems, powered by the latest AMD Ryzen CPU, a superfast M2 SSD and hyperspeed RAM. We are ready to speed things up! Right now, we are working on a complete new build of Heir to the Horde. Once it is somewhat playable, I will share some screenshots and videos 🙂
With three more days to go until PixelHeaven 2017, we are finally ready to unveil more details about Project Actium. We decided to name it Heir to the Horde, and it might be the final name of the game! But what is Heir to the Horde exactly? Well, do you like old school rpg games? And do you like a good story? Then Heir to the Horde will spark your interest for sure!
- Story driven rpg in which the player takes the role of a Mongolian clan leader.
- The story is about a clan that is forced to migrate to other lands.
- The story doesn’t just cover one hero, but multiple generations of successors. As the clan moves further away from their home, with every generation the player takes control of a new leader.
- The actions of previous clan leaders have huge impact on the story and gameplay.
An early build is playable at PixelHeaven 2017 in Warsaw (26 & 27 May), so if you are in the neighbourhood, be sure to check out our booth. For those who aren’t able to join us, here is a screenshot of a very early build. Feedback is welcome on our Facebook or Instagram.
We are proud to tell you that we have a booth at PixelHeaven 2017 in Warsaw! We will reveal Project Actium, which will be playable for everyone. If you live in Europe, and want to check out some cool indie or retro games, be sure to come, and don’t forget to drop by the Nautical Games booth 🙂
